Quick Review! Today I have Etude House's Lip & Eye Remover. Makeup removers are very important especially when you're using waterproof products. These help prevent acne formation and eye infections like stye.

I'm back! The thing is my laptop gave up on me couple of weeks ago. Now it's repaired although I did lose all my files. Good thing I transferred some important stuff (my thesis!) to my USB before it crashed!
Anyway, just a quick update about the opening of Uniqlo in SM North Edsa The Block. They announced on their Facebook page that they were giving away free planners for all customers who were going to be there before 10:30 am. I was super excited! I wanted that planner! But apparently the planner didn't want me. I arrived at 10:32 am. 2 minutes after the cut off time. :( Gosh! It was frustrating. They had a successful opening day, though. And the store looked amazing! I wanted a pair of colored pants but the line in the fitting room was too long. I should come back there one of these days.
Enough with my frustration about the planner. As we all know Christmas is fast approaching and I know how hard it is to come up with the perfect gift to give your special someone. So here is my Christmas gift guide for HER! It can be your wife, girlfriend, sister, daughter or girl best friend.
1. iPad Mini, iPad 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Girls love gadgets too!
The iPad mini is so light at 0.68 lbs and has a 7.9-inch display. It's very portable and does everything that the bigger iPad can do. It's not a retina display though and the processor is the same as the one found in iPad 2. But the $329 price tag makes it worth it and perfect to give as a gift!
But if you have the budget I'd still recommend the 9.7-inch iPad 4. It has the retina display and Apple's fastest processor to date; the A6x. Plus, if I want a smaller iPad I'd rather buy a phablet like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which is so smart and amazing!

The perks of having a sister who's kikay and a spoiler is that you get to have lots of stuff like this. I thought I'd share with you guys the new additions to my accessories collection. The first set is from Promod. The second is from Aldo except for the "gold chain bag" which is from Mango. Please comment below if you want more haul posts like this. :)

I was checking out some lipsticks on the Revlon counter and this would have haunted me in my sleep if I didn't buy it.
For everyday makeup I usually go for blushes that are matte rather than those with shimmers. I want to look as natural as possible or at least not to look too made up. So one time I was in Watson’s just checking out some local makeup counters, and these babies caught my eye.
It’s the Nichido True Colors Powder Blushes!
I love Maybelline! I’ve been using their products since college and they have never caused me any breakouts, plus they are so affordable! Most products won’t be over 500 bucks.
Being a lipstick junkie, I was thrilled by their “Color Sensational” line.
I think around 10 months ago I was really curious about this so called "BB cream" (Blemish balm cream), which is claimed to be the “secret weapon” of Koreans to maintain their flawless skin. Since BB creams are from Korea where else should I get one for myself but in Etude House!
The first blush that I got from Ever Bilena is in the shade “Cheek”, and I looove it so much! I’ve read that it’s a dupe for Nars’ Taos and coz I love finding good buys I went and got myself one.
I recently bought this all over color stick from elf (eyes, lips, face). It is an all over stick but please DO NOT take it literally and put the thing all over your face, all at once.
“All over” means it can be applied on your eyes, cheeks and lips.
I believe I paid 129 pesos (3 dollars) for this little one which is over pricing by the way coz it only costs a dollar in the US.
I love lipsticks but most of them dry out my lips in some way. Hence, the two lip products that I've been reaching out for these days are my Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in Primrose and my cherry Chapstick.
Today I went to Watsons to buy a lip balm and the thin packaging of Maybelline’s lip smooth color bloom kind of intrigued me.
I was really impressed with the Maybelline Color Bloom in Pink Blossom so the next day I purchased the one in Peach Blossom.
Please see my review for the Pink Blossom because they are both the same and of course the only difference is the color that you get.
Peach Blossom gives that "my lips but better" color. It just gives a little hint of peachy color on my lips and I think this will be a perfect match with my smokey eyes or even for days when I just want to go very natural.
*This post was reuploaded due to an error.
I've had this product for a year or two but I've just started using it lately because I wasn't into bronzers before. I'm really loving it so I thought it would be nice to share with you guys.
It's Chanel's Irreelle Soleil Silky Bronzing Powder in Sierra 22.
HBC was on sale last December so I went in there with a plan to make a haul but they didn't have testers for most of their products which really annoyed me so I ended up buying only one.
I bought the San San Matte Finish Liquid Foundation for 100 pesos. I was thrilled by the price 'coz where the hell can you get a foundation for 100 bucks, right? Plus the word "Matte" had me 'coz I have oily skin.
Blushes tend to take a half-day on me. They just don't last the entire day on my face which is really frustrating 'coz I'm very pale and I really need color to not look sick. Ever Bilena was on sale about 6 months ago and this was the one that I came home with that day.
It's their Mousse Blush-On in Aster!
I've heard good reviews about this product on Youtube and this is actually my first ever Eyebrow kit! It's from Eyes, Lips, Face or E.L.F.
Ever since I started using this I have realized the importance of good looking eyebrows. :)
A family friend actually gave us Pond's facial foam products that would probably last us the whole year... Or even more! =) This costs 140 pesos, same with the Pond's Clear Balance Smooth Pores that I also reviewed.
So as promised here's my review on the Pond's Clear Balance No Blackheads Facial Scrub.
I seldom wear eyeliner 'coz even if I want to I just can't risk the possibility that it will smudge and give me panda eyes. That would be so unattractive. O_O
I've been wanting this gel liner from IN2IT for so long because I've read good reviews about it and finally decided to get it when I found it on sale. Yes, I'm such a sucker for sales. LOL!
I tried this product out because of the small annoying pimples that popped on my forehead after a very stressful month. St. Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Scrub was the best way to get rid of pimples fast!
Earlier today I was in Mall of Asia and was heading towards a coffee shop. A
Careline is from the same manufacturer of Ever Bilena. EB has its own lip and cheek tint that I also made review about (find my review here). Careline's formula is a bit different than Ever Bilena's. I actually find it to be more similar to The Body Shop's!

I loooove Revlon's Super Lustrous lipsticks! The formula is just perfect. Coral and tangerine lipsticks are very much in trend right now so I picked up this gorgeous coral shade.

I originally planned to purchase The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer 'coz there were A LOT of raves about that product. But since I'm new to highlighters I want to know first how I would feel about it. So I went to the ever reliable ELF counter to find a cheaper alternative. Not sure why ELF categorized it as a bronzer, though. Anyway, here are my thoughts on this product. :)
Uniqlo invaded the Philippines last June when they opened their first store in Mall of Asia. I wanted so bad to go on the opening day 'coz there were discounts. I love discounts! But of course with my schedule and with MOA being too far from my area, I wasn't able to go.
The good news is... they are opening another store in SM North Edsa The Block! It's right across Forever 21. You can't miss it. They are scheduled to open in November. That's three months away! I'll make sure to come this time. ;)
I have yet another product to review and it's the Duo Eyeshadow Cream from ELF. These two shades are my first cream eyeshadows ever. I don't know. I just never thought of trying them out until last month. So was it worth the try?

I am thrilled by this. Ready? The Body Shop is giving SM advantage card holders a 40% discount on ALL regular priced makeup and brushes from September 13 to 16! Yay!!!
Yes, even the BDO rewards card is accepted! So visit TBS in any SM mall nationwide and take advantage of this special promo. :)
I really loooove my In2it waterproof gel liner in very black that I use it everyday and now I have finished it up. And you must know that this is the FIRST EVER eyeliner that I have used until there was none! So I went out and bought another one. This time I got two shades; very black and copper.

I've gone boy-cut back in high school. My hair is naturally wavy so it went all over the place. Let's just say that I will never ever do that to my hair again. lol! But some girls can pull it off no matter how close to a shaved head their hairstyle may be. And they don't just pull it off, they rock it! Check out the celebs I've listed who looks super chic with very short hair.
Harry Potter fans were shocked when she went super short in 2010. But Emma looked classy and feminine in her pixie.

I've been wanting to change my blog URL to a different name so I changed it to "thefaceguide.blogspot.com" yesterday. I thought it was as easy as that but I realized I was having problems with redirecting traffic. So now I'm back with my old URL until I figure it out. Sigh.
Now onto my review...
Some 6 months ago I was looking for a neutral eyeshadow that I can use everyday, just something to define my eyes without looking too much for school. And I found this from our local makeup counters; The Nichido eyeshadow in Cocoa Pearl.

I made a "My Top 5 Youtube Gurus" post last year and other gurus has since made it to my top 5! Well, I was already subscribed to them before but it took a while for them to grow on me. Only one "Youtuber" from my last post stayed on my list.
This girl is SO ADORABLE! I must say I found her annoying before coz she was too energetic. But that's all in the past now. Now I love her! She reminds me of high school, you know? That youthful energy that doesn't seem to wear out. And high school for me is the best part of school life!
Btw, Bethany is doing a pinky promise with her viewers in this screenshot. How cute is that?!

I have another cheap thrill for you guys! :) I've had this for a while, probably a year now 'coz I bought this together with my FS lipstick in Pink Chic. You know me, I'm a supporter of our local makeup brands. They are cheap and if you choose the right products you're gonna be surprised of how good they are! The Aido Classic Lipstick in shade N is one of those pleasant surprises.

My hair has become boring now. I used to color my hair every few months and now it has been more than a year since my last. After trying out different brands over the years I finally settled with Revlon Colorsilk Luminista. This time I picked up shade 175 Medium Blonde.
Apparently some purchased Wizzit Hair Removers don't include an English Manual. Well, here you go. :) Hope this helps.
Note: I don't know why it's called "My-Twizze" here, but this manual came with my Wizzit Hair Remover package.

I know there are a lot of reviews on this already but let me give my two cents. :)
A lot of Filipina makeup enthusiasts have been raving about the Fanny Serrano Two-Way Cake Foundation, and for the longest time I have been resisting the thought of buying it 'coz I wanted to finish up my BB Creams and other foundations first. However, I have been really oily around my t zone lately (will tell you why on my next post) that I finally decided to purchase it. Now I'm glad I did!

So my underarms sweat, right? It can't be helped thanks to the extreme heat here in Manila. If you take public transportation then you know what I mean. I want to have dry underarms even when it's scorching hot outside so I availed this voucher from Ensogo.

So here's another Nichido post. I went through my train case today and found these. I can't believe I've had them for a year and never used them! Anyway, here goes my review on the Nichido Lip Pencils in Blaze and Rosette.

I've hit pan on my ELF eyebrow kit which I really love, but I want to try something new so I can widen my makeup horizon. If there's such a thing. :)
Anyway, I had my eye on this pencil from Nichido months and months ago but never bought it coz I didn't want to be a makeup hoarder. I feel bad when makeup items are not being used. Now I have a reason to buy it and so I did.
