Purple eye shadows can be tricky. If done wrong it may look like someone gave you a black eye or you can look clownish! I remember when I was young I saw this lady with purple eye shadow and she looked like someone gave her a beating! From then on I had this mentality that purple eye shadows are a no-go.
But today it's a whole different scenario because now we have new products coming in that are of great quality and of course there's Internet and Youtube to teach women how to properly apply makeup. Yay! :-D
Purple eye shadows are gorgeous for events and special occasions, especially when it complements the color of the outfit. This purple shade from Lancome is not like any other. It's slightly duochrome!
I love the packaging of Lancome's single eye shadows. I like that I can see the color from the lid and it's a slide-to-open type of cover.
The eye shadow is very smooth and easy to blend. I personally love this as an all over the lid color with a smokey eye. I think purple looks lovely on brown eyes! :)
Drama was not meant to be a pop-of-color shade so don't expect it to be so vibrant. It's a sheer cool purple shade with shimmers that gives it a very subtle iridescence. The color lasts all day especially when eye primer is used.
Kristen Stewart's eye makeup looks gorgeous! Not sure if they used Drama but the purple shade used here is also sheer and iridescent. :)
That's it for my Lancome eye shadow review. What's your favorite purple eye shadow? Comment them below! :)
