Review: The Balm Hot Mama Blush

Aaand... I'm back!!! As promised I'm back to review stuff for you girlies. I have the perfect blush right here, just in time for summer.

I went to Beauty Bar last December to pick up Mary-Loumanizer, which is a much-raved highlighter from The Balm, but it was sold out! So I asked the sales lady which ones are the most popular from the brand and she mentioned Hot Mama. I've been wanting to get one for the longest time, coz Emily Noel from Youtube said it's a dupe for Nars Orgasm. So I went ahead and bought it.

First off, can I just say how adorable their artworks are? I love the vintage-esque design and their products have quirky names too! The blush is in a cardboard type of packaging with a decent size mirror and a nice, secure magnetic clasp for closure.

Hot Mama is more peach than pink with tiny gold shimmers. The formula is finely milled and the texture is very smooth! It's not as pigmented as some of my other blushes but I can always control how much color I want to put on.

The Balm says this can be used as a highlighter, shadow and blush. Well I'm not sure if it will be nice as an eye shadow but my sister uses this as highlighter on her cheeks! She applies her favorite blush first and then the Hot Mama on top.

I just love this shade! The gold shimmers are not chunky at all, so it gives a very pretty golden sheen that's very flattering. I feel that this is very summer-appropriate. It'll make you look sun-kissed and glowing. :)

That's it for my Hot Mama review. I got this for more or less 780 pesos at Beauty Bar. Will I repurchase? Well I don't think I'll be hitting pan anytime soon. I also want to try other blushes from The Balm next time just 'coz I love their formula and I've been hearing good stuff about other shades too!

What other products from The Balm would you recommend? Comment them below! :)

  1. I have heard that TheBalm bronzer is pretty nice! though I haven't tried it but will try to check it out soon ^_~
