Christmas Gift Guide For Her!

I'm back! The thing is my laptop gave up on me couple of weeks ago. Now it's repaired although I did lose all my files. Good thing I transferred some important stuff (my thesis!) to my USB before it crashed!

Anyway, just a quick update about the opening of Uniqlo in SM North Edsa The Block. They announced on their Facebook page that they were giving away free planners for all customers who were going to be there before 10:30 am. I was super excited! I wanted that planner! But apparently the planner didn't want me. I arrived at 10:32 am. 2 minutes after the cut off time. :(  Gosh! It was frustrating. They had a successful opening day, though. And the store looked amazing! I wanted a pair of colored pants but the line in the fitting room was too long. I should come back there one of these days.

Enough with my frustration about the planner. As we all know Christmas is fast approaching and I know how hard it is to come up with the perfect gift to give your special someone. So here is my Christmas gift guide for HER! It can be your wife, girlfriend, sister, daughter or girl best friend.

1. iPad Mini, iPad 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Girls love gadgets too!

The iPad mini is so light at 0.68 lbs and has a 7.9-inch display. It's very portable and does everything that the bigger iPad can do. It's not a retina display though and the processor is the same as the one found in iPad 2. But the $329 price tag makes it worth it and perfect to give as a gift!

But if you have the budget I'd still recommend the 9.7-inch iPad 4. It has the retina display and Apple's fastest processor to date; the A6x. Plus, if I want a smaller iPad I'd rather buy a phablet like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which is so smart and amazing!

2. Makeup

Girls can never have too much makeup. Have you watched the makeup collection videos of Elle and Blair Fowler?! It's like having their own makeup store at home! I don't think it's practical though, considering that makeups have a shelf life.

Anyway, if you're thinking of giving her makeup as a gift I'd recommend that you go for blushes, lipsticks and eyeshadows. Do not give concealers or foundations because there's a chance that you won't choose the perfect match for her skin tone.

For blush I recommend Nars Orgasm. It is one of Nars' top selling product. It's a pink-peach shade with lots of shimmers so it gives a subtle radiant effect.

For eyeshadows I recommend the ones from MAC. Try to go for neutral shades because you can never go wrong with them.

I personally love Woodwinked. It is the perfect bronze shade that is flattering on any skin tone. Check out Temptalia's post on 8 must-have MAC neutral eyeshadows.

3. Shoes

This is a no brainer. Everyone loves shoes. It just depends on what type of shoes they prefer or need. Some girls like high heels, some prefer flats, sandals or even flip flops.

I like the shoes from Celine. Their designs are stylish and prices are reasonable. If you have money to spare  check out brands like Steve Madden and Tory Burch.

For flip flops I recommend Grendha. It's from the same makers of Ipanema but they have designs that can pass as sandals.

4. Bath products

If she is very particular about hygiene or she loves showers and smelling good all the time, try visiting LUSH. Their products are handmade and everything smells divine!

Rockstar is one of LUSH's most popular bath soaps. Snow fairy shower gel is another hit but it's only available during Christmas.

5. Shopping spree

If all else fails, this is the last resort. Take her to the mall or maybe to huge stores like Forever 21 and tell her to pick anything she wants and you'll buy it for her. Don't be shy to state how much your budget is so she won't go too crazy.

Or get her a gift card. The ones that look like a credit card such as the Ayala Malls eGC (electronic gift certificate), SM gift cards and Rustan's gift certificate.

That's my list! I hope I gave you some useful ideas. Of course it stills depends on the interests of the person you're giving it to, but these are the ones that I thought any girl will be happy to receive.

What's on top of your Christmas wishlist? Mine is the iPad 4. :)

First day of December today. Yay! I can't wait for Christmas day! :)
